Celebrating the Life of Anisa Dilworth

A Beautiful Soul Whose Light Still Shines

Her passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. Family and friends are grappling with a pain that words can hardly express — a deep, aching sorrow that comes from losing someone so full of life, love, and promise. The days feel heavier, the laughter quieter, and the world just a little dimmer without her radiant presence. Each memory brings both comfort and tears, and while we hold tight to the moments we shared, the reality of her absence is a constant heartache. She was more than a daughter, a friend, a sister — she was a light in our lives, and now, we mourn the light that was taken far too soon.

Her Impact Was Eternal

She was also a true animal lover, without ever being asked, she took care of the family dog "Hitler". The bond she shared with "Hitler" was undeniable—the dog would walk faithfully beside her from home to the taxi stand, a quiet symbol of the love and trust she inspired in all who knew her, whether human or animal.

A Beautiful Challenge

Raising a daughter as a single father came with many challenges for Everton, especially in a world that often measures girls by standards he could only try to understand. As Anisa approached her teenage years, she faced harsh criticism from peers—particularly from classmates who mocked her athletic build. It was a painful time for both father and daughter, but Everton chose to teach her something deeper: that intelligence, excellence, and character outshine surface beauty. Anisa took those words to heart. That same semester, she silenced her critics by achieving outstanding grades, proving that she was so much more than how others tried to define her.

At just 11 years old, Anisa discovered Tupac Shakur’s music. She fell in love with the song "Broken wings". By the end of that day, she had already filled her tablet with his pictures. Despite her father’s concerns about Tupac's controversial reputation, Anisa’s mind was made up—she admired his artistry, his message, and his voice. That was Anisa: self-assured, focused, and unafraid to embrace what moved her.

A Life of Courage, Character, and Quiet Determination

Image Description

From a young age, Anisa showed a remarkable sense of responsibility. She earned her driver’s license before finishing high school, a rare feat among her peers. Trusted by her father, she became the keeper of important things such as passwords, bank details, and household responsibilities most teenagers would shy away from. Her maturity shone through in every area of her life.

In high school, Anisa developed a strong interest in entrepreneurship. While her father encouraged her to wait until after school to pursue business, her drive wouldn't let her sit still. Quietly and confidently, she launched her own line of handmade soaps and scented candles, nurturing it with care and passion until the very end of her life. Her only regret—one shared by her father—was that she kept this part of her journey to herself. In his own words, “I wish she had given me the chance to support her—but I did my best.”

Anisa, you were a bright soul in this world and I can’t begin to grasp that you’re no longer here. The moments we shared as kids will forever stay with me, and I wish we had more time. I can still hear your laugh, and it breaks me that it’s now a memory. Anisa’s light will never fade. As the love, laughter, and life she poured into everyone’s world will be cherished. To Uncle Everton and the whole family: praying for you all. May God keep you and give you strength.

May Anisa’s memory be a blessing to all who knew her and an inspiration to those who heard of her. Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time.
